Description

The Cisco 8712 is a 2RU modular router built on the Silicon One K100 NPU, delivering 6.4 Tbps of system throughput across four Modular Port Adapter (MPA) bays. It supports flexible interface mixes from 1G to 400G and suits metro edge, aggregation, peering and compact core deployments running IOS XR. This base chassis is supplied with four MPA bays; MPAs and optics are selected separately to match the required port types.
