This 1G SFP optical transceiver supports 1000BASE-LX, operating at 1310 nm over single-mode fibre for links up to 10 km. It uses an LC duplex connector and suits Gigabit Ethernet uplinks between switches across buildings, campuses and longer fibre runs where multimode optics fall short of the required reach.
