Actual reach depends on fibre attenuation, splice loss, connector insertion loss, and patch panel count. The module provides a 16 dB optical power budget. If your link budget exceeds this due to long distance or high loss, measure end-to-end attenuation and verify it stays within the transceiver transmit power and receiver sensitivity window.
