A: This module provides a minimum optical budget of 7 dB. Actual reach depends on fiber quality, connector loss, and splice loss. For precise link engineering beyond 8km or in environments with older fiber or multiple patch panels, calculate total path loss including connectors and splices to ensure it remains within the 7 dB budget.

A: This module does not support FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet).
