This passive QSFP+ to SFP+ adapter (QSA) lets an SFP+ or SFP transceiver or cable be used in a QSFP+ port, enabling 10GbE or 1GbE links on 40GbE switch or NIC ports. The standard temperature version suits typical data centre and enterprise environments with an operating case temperature of 0 to 70°C. Its vendor-agnostic, low insertion loss design makes it a practical way to reuse existing SFP+ optics and direct attach cables when migrating or mixing speeds.
