Description

This industrial-temperature 100BASE-FX Fast Ethernet SFP transceiver is built for multimode fibre links at the network edge. It suits factory floors, utilities, outdoor enclosures and ruggedised campus networks, where commercial-grade optics cannot cope with the temperature range.

The optic delivers 100 Mbps over multimode fibre (MMF) with a maximum reach of 2 km through a duplex LC connector. It is rated for an operating temperature of -40 to 85 deg C, which is the key difference from standard commercial-temperature 100BASE-FX optics, so this page is the one to choose when the installation environment is extreme.

It uses the SFP form factor and fits Juniper switches and routers with SFP ports that support 100BASE-FX optics. Confirm platform and Junos version support in the Juniper Hardware Compatibility Tool before deployment.
