Description

Dual-port 25/10/1GbE network interface card built on the Intel Ethernet Controller E835, with 2 x SFP28 ports and a PCIe 4.0 x8 host interface. It suits servers that need low-power, cost-effective 25GbE connectivity for virtualised, storage and general data centre workloads. RDMA support (iWARP and RoCEv2), SR-IOV and flexible port partitioning make it well suited to virtualised and storage-over-Ethernet deployments, and it works with SFP28 DAC, optics and AOC cabling.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What port speeds does this NIC support?
A: Each of the two SFP28 ports runs at 25GbE, 10GbE or 1GbE, depending on the optic or cable installed.

Q: What PCIe interface does it use?
A: It uses a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface running at 16 GT/s, so the server needs a suitable PCIe x8 or larger slot.

Q: Which cabling and optics can be used with the SFP28 ports?
A: The ports support SFP28 direct attach copper (DAC) cables, SFP28 optics and active optical cables (AOC).

Q: Does it support RDMA and virtualisation features?
A: Yes. It supports iWARP and RoCEv2 RDMA, SR-IOV, VMDq and Intel VT-c, which suits virtualised and storage-over-Ethernet environments.

Q: Can it be installed in a low-profile chassis?
A: Yes. Low profile and full height bracket options are available for the adapter.
