Description

The Cisco UCS 2-Port 200G QSFP112 Network Adapter is built on NVIDIA ConnectX-7 and supports both Ethernet and InfiniBand over a PCIe Gen 5 host interface. It is aimed at enterprise data centres, AI, scientific and HPC computing, hyperscale cloud, software-defined networking and NVMe-oF storage.

This SKU provides two QSFP112 ports with up to 200GbE per port in the default Ethernet mode, or NDR200 InfiniBand, for up to 400Gb/s of total bandwidth. The host interface is PCIe Gen 5 x16 in a half-height, half-length form factor. This variant has crypto disabled and Secure Boot enabled. Lower Ethernet speeds of 100GbE, 50GbE, 25GbE and 10GbE are available, with the slower rates using QSFP-to-SFP (QSA) modules.

The following Cisco cables and optics are listed for use with this adapter: QSFP-100G-AOC5M, QSFP-100G-AOC7M, QSFP-100G-AOC10M, QSFP-100G-CU3M, QSFP-100G-CU5M, QSFP-100G-LR4-S, QSFP-100G-SR4-S, QSFP-40/100-SRBD, QSFP-100G-DR-S, QSFP-100G-SR1.2 and QSFP-200-CU3M. Break-out and split cables are not supported.

FAQs

Q: Does this adapter support both Ethernet and InfiniBand?
A: Yes. It supports both protocols on its two QSFP112 ports. Ethernet is the default mode, and the mode can be changed as described in the NVIDIA ConnectX-7 user manual.

Q: Which Cisco cables and optics work with this adapter?
A: The listed parts are QSFP-100G-AOC5M, QSFP-100G-AOC7M, QSFP-100G-AOC10M, QSFP-100G-CU3M, QSFP-100G-CU5M, QSFP-100G-LR4-S, QSFP-100G-SR4-S, QSFP-40/100-SRBD, QSFP-100G-DR-S, QSFP-100G-SR1.2 and QSFP-200-CU3M. Break-out and split cables are not supported.

Q: Can it run at speeds below 200GbE?
A: Yes. It supports 100GbE, 50GbE, 25GbE and 10GbE Ethernet. The lower speeds are reached using QSFP-to-SFP (QSA) modules.

Q: What host interface does it use?
A: It uses a PCIe Gen 5 x16 interface in a half-height, half-length form factor. A tall bracket is fitted and a short bracket is also supplied, so it suits both standard and low-profile slots.

Q: How does this SKU differ from other ConnectX-7 variants?
A: This variant has crypto disabled and Secure Boot enabled, with two 200G QSFP112 ports and a PCIe Gen 5 x16 host interface.
