Description

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition is a data-centre GPU supplied by Cisco for UCS C-Series rack servers. It is aimed at enterprise AI inferencing, agentic and physical AI, scientific computing, medical imaging and high-fidelity 3D graphics and video work.

This variant carries 96 GB of GPU memory and a 600 W rating in a double-wide, full-height, full-length (FHFL) PCIe form factor. In the UCS C240 M8 it is power-limited to 450 W for efficiency, with a maximum ambient temperature of 28 C. Selecting this GPU in a Cisco UCS configuration requires an NVIDIA licence choice, with an opt-out option available.

In the UCS C240 M8 and HCIVS240C M8 it fits Riser 1 slot 2, Riser 2 slot 5 and Riser 3C slot 7, and it needs the UCSC-GPUAD-C240M8 GPU air duct and the CBL-G5GPU-C240M7 power cable. GPUs cannot be mixed within a server, and the card carries a unique SBIOS ID recognised by CIMC and UCSM.

A: An NVIDIA licence selection is required when RTX Pro 6000 GPUs are chosen in Cisco UCS configurations. Options include NVIDIA AI Enterprise and vGPU-type licences, with an opt-out PID of NV-GRID-OPT-OUT-D.

Q: Which UCS C240 M8 slots can host it?
A: It fits Riser 1 slot 2, Riser 2 slot 5 and Riser 3C slot 7. Full-height, full-length double-wide cards are supported only in slot 7 of Riser 3C.

Q: What power and cooling does it need in a C240 M8?
A: It uses the CBL-G5GPU-C240M7 power cable and the UCSC-GPUAD-C240M8 GPU air duct. It is power-limited to 450 W in the C240 M8 and needs ambient temperature kept to 28 C or below.

Q: Can I mix different GPU models in one server?
A: No. GPUs cannot be mixed within a server, so all installed GPUs must be the same model.
