Description

This 2-way NVIDIA NVLink bridge is built for the Cisco UCS X-Series and links two NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs installed in a UCS X580p PCIe Node. It suits generative AI training and fine-tuning and high-performance LLM inference, where GPU-to-GPU traffic is a bottleneck.

Once fitted, the paired GPUs communicate directly at up to 900GB/s, without that traffic crossing the PCIe bus. The bridge is a passive component and needs no separate power. Each H200 NVL GPU in the pair is rated at 600W with 141GB of memory in a 2-slot full-height, full-length form factor, and the X580p node supports up to 4 air-cooled GPUs with NVLink Bridge support. The bridge itself needs no licence. The host node under Intersight Managed Mode requires at least an Intersight Essentials licence per server.

This bridge is designed for NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs (UCSX-GPU-H200-NVL) in the Cisco UCS X580p PCIe Node. The X580p pairs with UCS X210c M8 and X215c M8 compute nodes in a UCS X9508 chassis with X9516 X-Fabric modules.
