Description

This is the port-side intake (burgundy) fan module for the Cisco Nexus 9408 modular chassis in the Nexus 9400 Series. It suits data-centre teams running high-density 400G, 200G and 50G switching in NX-OS or ACI mode who need a spare or replacement cooling fan for their N9408.

The N9408 chassis uses five fan trays in a 4+1 redundant arrangement to cool the supervisor, line-expansion modules and switch card. This tray is the port-side intake variant, colour-coded burgundy, so the chassis airflow direction stays consistent. It measures 3.97 x 3.09 x 5.27 in (H x W x D) and is hot-swappable, allowing replacement without taking the switch out of service. No licence is required for the fan module itself.

It is designed for the Cisco N9408 chassis (N9K-C9408) only and is the only fan option listed for that platform. It pairs with the port-side intake power supplies NXA-PAC-2KW-PI, NXA-PDC-2KW-PI and NXA-PHV-2KW-PI.
