Description

The N7K-F306CK-25 is a Nexus 7000 F3-Series line card built for high-density, low-latency 100 Gigabit Ethernet in data centre aggregation and core roles. It also suits FabricPath Layer 2 fabrics, data centre interconnect using OTV, MPLS and VPLS, VXLAN overlays and converged FCoE networks.

The module provides six 100 Gigabit Ethernet ports using Cisco CPAK optics and is a Fabric-2 module. It is built on the Cisco F3-Series switch-on-chip ASIC, delivering 900 Mpps of Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding for IPv4 and IPv6, with up to 600 Gbps of data throughput. Each module carries a 72 MB virtual output queue buffer, with 4 ingress and 4 egress queues per port, and jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes are supported for bridged and routed packets. Table capacity includes 64K MAC entries, 64K IPv4 routes, 32K IPv6 routes and 16K ACL entries.

The card requires an N7K-SUP2 or N7K-SUP2E supervisor and is supported in Nexus 7000 4-, 9-, 10- and 18-Slot chassis, occupying a single I/O module slot. It accepts CPAK-100G-SR10 and CPAK-100G-LR4 optics.
