Description

This 16GB DRAM memory module is designed for the Cisco 8400 Series Secure Routers Gen2, covering the C8455-G2 and C8475-G2 platforms. It suits teams upgrading or replacing memory in 1RU campus and branch edge routers that run SD-WAN, IPsec and security workloads.

The module provides 16GB of DRAM capacity. It belongs to a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB memory range for the 8400 G2 platform, with sibling parts MEM-C84G2-32GB and MEM-C84G2-64GB. Both host routers ship with 32GB of DRAM by default, and the C8475-G2 supports up to 64GB of DRAM when running IOS XE 17.18.3 or later. As a passive component, the module draws its power from the host router and needs no licence of its own.
