Description

The IRMH-5GS6-RC-GL is a 5G RedCap pluggable interface module for the Cisco Catalyst IR8100 Heavy Duty Series routers. It adds or upgrades cellular WAN connectivity on the router without replacing it, which suits remote Industrial IoT sites such as utilities, energy, transportation and other heavy-duty outdoor or remote locations.

This is the Global (GL) variant with eSIM support. It is a 5G 3GPP Release 17 RedCap (Reduced Capability) module with support for both LTE and 5G Standalone (SA) networks, giving a cost- and power-efficient path to 5G for industrial and IoT traffic. Because it is a field-pluggable module, cellular connectivity can be swapped or upgraded as requirements or technologies change.

This module is intended for the IR8140H-K9 and IR8140H-P-K9 routers. Other Cisco IR families, such as the IR1101, IR1833, IR1835 and IR8340, use a separate pluggable module part number (P-5GS6-RC-GL), so check the router model before ordering.
