Description

This 5G Sub 6 GHz pluggable interface module adds cellular WAN connectivity to the Catalyst IR8100 Heavy Duty Series of modular industrial routers. It suits remote industrial sites such as utilities and energy operations, and other Industrial IoT deployments that need 5G backhaul.

The module is a pluggable, field-swappable unit, so cellular technology can be upgraded as requirements evolve without replacing the whole router. It is part of the IR8100 pluggable module family, alongside LTE, storage, Wi-SUN, battery backup and power modules.

It is intended for use with the Catalyst IR8140H-K9 and IR8140H-P-K9 routers. It is not a module for the IR1000, IR1100, IR1800 or IR8300 platforms, which use a different range of 5G module part numbers.
