Description

The Cisco QSFP28 100G ZR coherent optics family brings 100G coherent DWDM to standard QSFP28 ports, and this MX1-A1 variant is the -5 dBm output power model. It suits edge, access, aggregation, enterprise and campus, cable and fibre deep, and 5G wireless x-haul networks, as well as legacy ROADM-based DWDM links and IP over DWDM in Cisco Routed Optical Networking.

The module uses dual-polarisation QPSK modulation at a 111.8 Gbps line rate and tunes across the C-band from 191.3 to 196.2 THz with flexible grid, 6.25 GHz tuning granularity and 50 GHz grid operation. Reach extends up to 160 km point-to-point unamplified and up to 500 km on amplified DWDM links, depending on link conditions. Receiver sensitivity is -32 dBm with SC-FEC and -28 dBm with G.709 FEC. It connects over duplex LC on single-mode fibre, and the extended temperature rating covers a case temperature of -20 to +80 C.
