Description

The Secure Firewall 1220CX is a compact desktop firewall from Cisco's Secure Firewall 1200 Series, built for branch offices and smaller sites that need enterprise security policy and threat inspection at the edge. This CSF1220CX-TD-K9 SKU is the Threat Defense variant and runs Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) software.

On the hardware side it provides 8x 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2x SFP+ slots that accept 1G or 10G transceivers, plus a dedicated 1000BASE-T management port. There is no PoE on this model. Rated throughput is 9.0 Gbps for firewall with AVC and for firewall with AVC and IPS, 10 Gbps for IPsec VPN, and 1.5 Gbps for TLS decryption. It supports up to 300K concurrent sessions with AVC, 50K new connections per second and 300 VPN peers, and includes an integrated 480GB SSD. Power is drawn from an external 100-240V AC supply, with 32 W typical and 40 W maximum consumption.

The Threat Defense image is preinstalled on this SKU. Feature licences and subscriptions such as threat, malware and URL filtering are ordered separately. The unit can be managed on-box with Secure Firewall Device Manager, centrally with Secure Firewall Management Center, or from the cloud with Cisco Security Cloud Control. Optional rack-mount and wall-mount kits are available for the 1200C chassis.
