Description

The Secure Firewall 1210CE is a compact desktop security appliance from the Cisco Secure Firewall 1200 Series, running Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) software. It is built for branch offices and smaller sites that need to extend security policy and threat inspection to local users and devices.

This SKU provides 8 x 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports, a separate 1000BASE-T management port, and no PoE. With ASA software it is rated at 6.5 Gbps of stateful inspection firewall throughput (1500B UDP), 6.0 Gbps multiprotocol firewall throughput and 5.5 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput (450B UDP L2L). It supports 175K new connections per second, 200K concurrent connections and up to 200 VPN peers. An integrated 480GB SSD is fitted, and power comes from a single external AC power supply drawing 32W typical and 40W maximum.

Optional rack-mount and wall-mount kits are available, along with the CSF1200C-PWR-AC compact power supply and the CAB-CONS-USB-C= console cable. The same hardware is also sold with Threat Defense software as CSF1210CE-TD-K9.

FAQs

Q: Does this model support PoE?
A: No. The 1210CE has 8 x 1000BASE-T ports with no Power over Ethernet. PoE is available on the 1210CP model.

Q: What power supply does it use?
A: It uses a single external AC power supply rated 100-240V, 50-60 Hz, drawing 32W typical and 40W maximum. The CSF1200C-PWR-AC compact power supply is the non-PoE accessory part.

Q: Does it have SFP or SFP+ slots?
A: No. This model has no transceiver slots. Connectivity is 8 x 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet plus a dedicated 1000BASE-T management port.

Q: Can it be rack or wall mounted?
A: Yes. It is a compact desktop unit, and the optional CSF1200C-RACK-MNT= rack-mount kit and CSF1200C-WALL-MNT= wall-mount kit are available.

Q: How does it differ from CSF1210CE-TD-K9?
