Description

The C9300-NM-2Q-M is a field-replaceable uplink network module for modular-uplink Catalyst 9300 switches, in the Meraki edition. It adds two 40G QSFP+ ports to the switch, giving access-layer deployments a high-speed path to distribution or core in campus and branch networks, including Meraki cloud-managed deployments of Catalyst 9300 access switches.

The module provides 2 x 40G QSFP uplink ports and accepts QSFP+ optics and cables with MPO or LC fibre connectors, in single-mode or multimode fibre. It is a hot-swappable, field-replaceable module that fits the uplink slot of the host switch, and it draws power from the switch with no separate power supply. The module itself needs no licence. The host switch needs a licence: Meraki-mode switches need a Meraki Advanced or Enterprise term licence to appear in the Meraki dashboard.

It works with modular-uplink Catalyst 9300 switches, including Meraki -M models. Catalyst 9300X switches use a different module family (C9300X-NM) and are not compatible, and fixed-uplink C9300L and C9300LM models do not take this module.
