Description

Passive direct-attach copper Y-splitter enabling one 800G OSFP twin-port to break out into two 400G OSFP links. Optimized for very short-reach InfiniBand NDR connections with minimal latency and power versus optics. Ideal for top-of-rack to server or intra-rack switch links.

Features

- Short 1.5 m reach for lowest latency and power
- 800G to 2x400G breakout for flexible port utilization
- OSFP-to-OSFP ends for direct connection without transceivers
- Passive copper design for cost-effective short links
- Mechanical/electrical alignment with OSFP MSA

FAQs

Q: Is this for InfiniBand or Ethernet?
A: It targets InfiniBand NDR. Ethernet operation depends on specific platform support for OSFP breakouts.

Q: Does it require configuration?
A: Devices must support 800G-to-dual-400G breakout on OSFP ports; enable breakout if required by the platform.

Q: Can it connect to QSFP?
A: No, all ends are OSFP.

Q: What is the length?
A: 1.5 meters.

Q: Is this active or passive?
A: Passive DAC; no active optical components.
