Description

High-performance InfiniBand active optical splitter for HDR breakout from a 400G OSFP host to two 200G QSFP56 device ports. Ideal for spine–leaf aggregation or dual-node uplinks where low latency and low power are required over short to medium runs.

Features

- Purpose-built HDR breakout from 400G OSFP to dual 200G QSFP56
- Low latency and low power versus discrete optic modules and patch cords
- Tool-less deployment with integrated ends—no cleaning of LC connectors
- 30 m reach for flexible top-of-rack to spine or multi-node aggregation
- Optimized for HPC and AI/ML clusters using InfiniBand HDR fabrics

Warranty

All products sold by XS Network Tech include a 12-month warranty on both new and used items. Our in-house technical team thoroughly tests used hardware prior to sale to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

FAQs

Q: Is this cable compatible with standard QSFP56 HDR switch or adapter ports?
A: Yes. The two device ends are QSFP56 for 200G HDR ports. The host end is OSFP 400G that supports 2x200G HDR breakout.

Q: Does this require separate transceivers?
A: No. It is an AOC with integrated optical transceiver ends—no LC patch cords or separate optics are needed.

Q: Can it be used for Ethernet instead of InfiniBand?
A: If your OSFP 400G port and QSFP56 ports support 2x200G breakout on 400GbE/200GbE, it can operate in Ethernet mode as supported by the host devices.

Q: What fiber type is used inside the cable?
A: Multimode fiber with 850 nm optics optimized for short-reach, low-latency links.

Q: Is this passive or active?
A: Active. It includes integrated electronics and optics to drive 30 m reach.
