Description

The NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9700 is a 1U managed NDR InfiniBand switch designed for AI clusters, HPC, scientific research and hyperscale data centre fabrics. It is built on the Quantum-2 architecture and includes an on-board subnet manager, so a fabric can be brought up without a separate management host.

The switch delivers 64 NDR 400Gb/s InfiniBand ports through 32 OSFP cages, with a switching capacity of 25.6 Tb/s unidirectional and 51.2 Tb/s bidirectional. Splitter cables allow 400Gb/s to 200Gb/s breakout from the OSFP cages. This SKU is the managed variant with two hot-swappable redundant power supplies and connector-to-power (C2P) reverse airflow, so it suits racks where the port side faces the hot aisle. Its sibling, the MQM9700-NS2F, uses power-to-connector forward airflow. The chassis is 43.6 mm high, 438 mm wide and 660.4 mm deep, weighs 14.5 kg and is supplied for 1U rack mounting.

It works with OSFP NDR optics, DACs and AOCs, and connects to NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NDR adapters, BlueField-3 DPUs and DGX systems.
