Description

Parallel optic 100GBASE-SR4 QSFP28 for short-reach multimode links with MPO-12 connectivity. Ideal for leaf/spine and TOR aggregation where 70 m (OM3) to 100 m (OM4) reach is required.

Features

- Standards-based 100GBASE-SR4 for broad interoperability
- MPO-12 interface for high-density parallel optics
- Supports 1x100G or 4x25G breakout operation
- Low power, hot-swappable QSFP28 design
- Reliable short-reach links over OM3/OM4 MMF

Warranty

All products sold by XS Network Tech include a 12-month warranty on both new and used items. Our in-house technical team thoroughly tests used hardware prior to sale to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

FAQs

Q: Can this module break out to four 25G SR links?
A: Yes, when connected to a switch/router that supports breakout and using an MPO to 4xLC (or 4xMPO-8/LC harness) with proper polarity.

Q: Is MTP-8 cabling supported?
A: The module interface is MPO-12. You can use MTP-8 trunks with appropriate cassettes or adapters that map to 8 active fibers.

Q: Will it interoperate with other vendors’ SR4 optics?
A: Yes, if the peer is 100GBASE-SR4 at 850 nm and the fiber/polarity budget is met.

Q: Does it require pinned or unpinned MPO?
A: The transceiver is typically unpinned; use a pinned MPO trunk per your cabling design and maintain Type-B polarity for SR4 links.

Q: Does it support DOM/DDM?
A: Yes, real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage, and optical power is supported.
