Description

Compact 100G QSFP28 SR1.2 bidirectional transceiver for duplex MMF runs where MPO cabling isn’t available. Uses two wavelengths on each fiber to deliver 100GbE over LC with up to 150 m on OM5 (100 m on OM4).

FAQs

Q: Will this BiDi module interoperate with standard SR4 MPO optics?
A: No. SR1.2 BiDi uses LC duplex and two wavelengths per fiber, whereas SR4 uses parallel MPO-12. Both ends must use matching SR1.2 BiDi modules.

Q: Can I run it over OM4 fiber?
A: Yes. Typical reach is up to about 100 m on OM4. For full 150 m reach, use OM5.

Q: Does it support DOM/DDM monitoring?
A: Yes, it provides digital optical monitoring for key parameters such as temperature, TX/RX power, and supply voltage.

Q: Which ports is it compatible with?
A: Any QSFP28 100GbE port that supports SR1.2/BiDi operation. Check your platform’s transceiver compatibility list.

Q: Is special patching required?
A: Use standard LC duplex MMF patch cords with correct polarity; no MPO cabling is required.
