FAQs

Q: Do I need a matching transceiver at the other end?
A: Yes, pair this Downstream unit with the corresponding Upstream unit to complete the single‑fiber link.

Q: Can I use duplex LC patch cords?
A: This module uses a simplex LC port and one SMF strand; a duplex cable can be used but only one strand is connected.

Q: Is FEC required?
A: Host-dependent; RS-FEC is recommended for best performance and BER.

Q: Does it support DOM?
A: Yes, digital diagnostics monitoring is supported.
