FAQs

Q: Will this interoperate with CWDM4 MSA optics?
A: It is designed to interoperate with IEEE 100GBASE-LR4 optics over duplex SMF; interoperability with CWDM4 MSA can vary by vendor and link budget.

Q: What fiber and connectors are required?
A: OS2 single-mode fiber with duplex LC patch cords.

Q: Is FEC required for LR4?
A: LR4 typically does not require FEC per the IEEE spec, though hosts may support optional FEC.

Q: Does it support DOM?
A: Yes, it supports digital diagnostics monitoring.

Q: Can it be used in any QSFP28 100G port?
A: Yes, it is MSA/IEEE compliant for QSFP28 100G ports supporting 100GBASE-LR4.
