FAQs

Q: What is the maximum reach of this cable?
A: This cable is 7 metres long and supports 10GBASE-CU links up to that distance.

Q: What connectors does this cable use?
A: It has SFP+ connectors at both ends, so it connects an SFP+ port directly to another SFP+ port.

Q: How does this differ from a passive DAC?
A: This is an active direct attach copper cable, which allows a longer reach of 7 m compared with typical short passive cables.

Q: Can this cable be used for 1G links?
A: This cable is intended for 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ connections. Use a 1G SFP module and appropriate cabling for 1G links.
