FAQs

Q: What cabling do I need to connect to four 100G ports on the far end?
A: Use an MPO-12 APC SMF trunk and an MPO-12 to 4x LC duplex breakout harness or cassette to reach four 100G FR (LC) ports.

Q: Can I use duplex LC directly from this module?
A: No. The module’s front interface is MPO-12 APC; use an MPO trunk and breakout to LC if the remote 100G optics are LC-based.

Q: Does the port need to be configured for breakout?
A: Yes. The QSFP-DD port must be set to 4x100G breakout mode on supported platforms.

Q: Is this suitable for outdoor or OSP runs?
A: It is intended for controlled environments and data centers; use appropriate OSP cabling and protection for outdoor runs.
