FAQs

Q: Is this cable active or passive?
A: It is a passive DAC requiring no external power; only the host port provides the necessary electrical interface.

Q: Can this cable be used for 4x100G breakout?
A: No. This is a straight QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD 400G cable. For breakout, use a QSFP-DD to 4x QSFP56/QSFP28 breakout cable designed for that purpose.

Q: Is this compatible with OSFP ports?
A: No. It is designed for QSFP-DD ports only.

Q: What bend radius should I observe?
A: Follow typical copper DAC guidance (approximately 5–10x the cable outer diameter) to avoid signal degradation.
