FAQs

Q: Is this cable passive or active?
A: It is an Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated optics and fiber.

Q: What ports is this compatible with?
A: It is designed for switches or routers with 800G OSFP ports that support breakout operation.

Q: What is the optical wavelength?
A: 850 nm, suitable for short-reach multimode applications typical of SR8-class optics.

Q: Can I use it for straight OSFP-to-OSFP links?
A: This model is intended for breakout (fanout) use. For straight links, use a non-breakout 800G OSFP AOC.

Q: Does it support DOM/diagnostics?
A: AOCs generally support digital diagnostics that can be read by compatible host platforms.
