FAQs

Q: Does this require breakout support on the switch or router?
A: Yes. The 100G port must support 4x25G breakout mode to use this AOC.

Q: Is this cable hot-swappable?
A: Yes, the modules at both ends are hot-swappable.

Q: What fiber type does this AOC emulate?
A: It operates at 850 nm similar to SR optics over multimode fiber within the integrated cable assembly.

Q: Can it interoperate with discrete SR optics via patch panels?
A: No. As an AOC, it is an integrated end-to-end assembly and does not interface with patch panels or separate transceivers.

Q: Is this suitable for outdoor or extended temperature use?
A: No. It is rated for standard temperature environments (0–70°C).
