FAQs

Q: Does this switch support PoE+ (802.3at)?
A: No. It supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and Cisco Enhanced PoE for higher-than-15.4W output to compatible devices.

Q: Are the 10GbE uplinks SFP+?
A: No. They are X2 slots. You can use X2 10G modules (SR/LR/ER/CX4). With TwinGig converters you can use 1G SFPs, but not 10G SFP+.

Q: Does this model support stacking?
A: No. Catalyst 3560E switches operate as standalone units (no StackWise).

Q: Is redundant power available?
A: Yes. It supports the Cisco RPS 2300 external redundant power system and has field-replaceable internal PSU and fan tray.

Q: What features are included with the IP Services license?
A: IP Services adds advanced Layer 3 features such as full OSPF/EIGRP, PBR, multicast, and enhanced IPv6 routing beyond the basic L3 of IP Base.

Q: Which X2 optical modules are compatible?
A: Common options include 10GBASE-SR (850 nm, multimode), 10GBASE-LR (1310 nm, single-mode), 10GBASE-ER (1550 nm, single-mode), and 10GBASE-CX4 (copper). For 1G, use TwinGig converters with SFPs.
