Description

QSFP-DD 200G optical transceiver that breaks out to two independent 100G CWDM4 links. Ideal for reclaiming port density while connecting two 100G endpoints from a single 200G host port. Supports CWDM4 optics per 100G channel over single-mode fiber up to 2 km. Dual CS front connector presents two duplex optical circuits for simple patching or CS-to-dual-LC harnesses. Requires platform support for 2x100G breakout.

Features

- Consolidates two 100G links into one QSFP-DD port
- Standards-based 100G CWDM4 interoperability per leg
- Long reach up to 2 km over cost-effective SMF
- Dual CS front connector simplifies high-density patching
- Supports DOM for proactive monitoring
- Optimizes spine/leaf and aggregation breakouts

Warranty

All products sold by XS Network Tech include a 12-month warranty on both new and used items. Our in-house technical team thoroughly tests used hardware prior to sale to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

FAQs

Q: Can each 100G leg interoperate with a standard 100G CWDM4 optic at the far end?
A: Yes. Each breakout leg behaves as a native 100G CWDM4 interface and links to a standard 100G CWDM4 transceiver over SMF.

Q: What fiber and connectors do I need?
A: Use SMF with a dual CS patch. You can also use a CS-to-dual-LC harness to connect to two standard LC-based 100G CWDM4 ports.

Q: Does this require special configuration?
A: Your QSFP-DD port must support 2x100G breakout mode. Enable breakout in the platform OS where applicable.

Q: Is host-side FEC required?
A: RS-FEC (KP4) on the host is recommended/required for CWDM4 links to meet error performance.

Q: Can I run it as a single 200G link?
A: No. This module is designed specifically for 2x100G breakout operation.
