FAQs

Q: Does this module work on Annex B (ISDN) lines?
A: No. This model is for Annex A/M over POTS. For Annex B, use an ADSL over ISDN variant.

Q: What upstream speeds can I expect with Annex M?
A: Up to approximately 3.3 Mbps under ideal conditions; actual rates depend on loop length and provider.

Q: Is an external splitter required?
A: Follow your provider's guidance; many deployments use microfilters or a central splitter for POTS voice and DSL.

Q: Can I terminate PPPoE directly on the router?
A: Yes, PPPoE and PPPoA are supported for provider-facing authentication.

Q: Which ISR platforms support this HWIC?
A: ISR 1800/2800/3800 and ISR G2 1900/2900/3900 with available HWIC slots.
