FAQs

Technical Specifications

FAQs

Q: Is this module compatible with any 10GbE XENPAK port?
A: Yes, it works in XENPAK slots that support 10GBASE-ER DWDM optics per the XENPAK MSA.

Q: What fiber and connectors are required?
A: Use single-mode fiber (9/125 µm) with duplex LC connectors.

Q: Do both ends need the same wavelength?
A: Yes. For DWDM links, use matched wavelength channels at both ends.

Q: Does it provide digital monitoring?
A: Yes, DOM/DDM reports parameters like temperature, TX/RX power, and voltage.

Q: Can it reach 40 km without amplification?
A: Typically yes, if fiber attenuation and splices fit the ER link budget. Actual reach depends on loss.
