Description

Four‑channel CWDM add/drop module designed for use in a compatible CWDM chassis. Multiplexes/demultiplexes four wavelengths on single‑mode fiber, enabling scalable, protocol‑agnostic transport for Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other services across the CWDM grid. Passive design requires no power and simplifies deployment in metro, campus, and data center interconnects.

Features

- Four independent CWDM channels for efficient fiber utilization
- Passive, zero‑power operation
- LC/UPC SMF interfaces for broad compatibility
- Protocol‑agnostic transport across 1470–1610 nm
- Chassis plug‑in design for clean, serviceable installs
- Scalable add/drop architecture for metro and campus networks

Warranty

All products sold by XS Network Tech include a 12-month warranty on both new and used items. Our in-house technical team thoroughly tests used hardware prior to sale to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

FAQs

Q: Does this module require power?
A: No. It is a passive optical module and does not require external power.

Q: Which wavelengths are supported?
A: It supports four channels selected from the CWDM grid (1470–1610 nm with 20 nm spacing).

Q: What connectors are used?
A: LC/UPC single‑mode fiber connectors.

Q: Is it protocol specific?
A: No. CWDM is protocol agnostic; it carries Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other optical services as long as the optical budget is met.

Q: Can it be mixed with different data rates on different channels?
A: Yes. Each wavelength is independent, allowing different protocols and speeds simultaneously.
