Description

This 800G ZR+ OpenROADM QSFP-DD digital coherent optics transceiver carries 800G traffic over amplified DWDM links, with reach exceeding 1000 km in 800G ZR+ mode and up to 80 km unamplified. Operating in the tunable C-band with OpenROADM interoperable PCS, it suits metro and regional data centre interconnects and service provider transport. It extends Cisco Routed Optical Networking applications to 800G links using standard QSFP-DD ports.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What reach does this 800G ZR+ module support?
A: It supports over 1000 km on amplified DWDM links in 800G ZR+ mode and up to 80 km unamplified. Actual reach depends on fibre and connector loss and the design of the line system.

Q: Which data rates and modulation modes are supported?
A: It supports 800G (OpenROADM interoperable PCS, OIF 800G 16QAM and a proprietary enhanced mode), 600G, and 400G (OpenROADM 400G QPSK and OpenZR+), allowing the link to be matched to the available optical performance.

Q: What wavelength band does it operate in?
A: It is a C-band module with tunable wavelengths from 1528.58 nm to 1567.34 nm and transmit power greater than +1 dBm.

Q: What host ports does this module fit?
A: It uses the QSFP-DD form factor, mechanically compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA and type 2B power compliant, so it fits routers, switches and transponders with 800G-capable QSFP-DD ports.

Q: Which client signal formats can it carry?
A: It supports 100GE, 200GE, 400GE and 800GE client formats, with FOIC mode available in 800G ZR+ only on transponders.
