Description

This two-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet modular port adapter is designed for Cisco ASR 9000 Series modular line cards and delivers high-capacity 100G connectivity in a single bay. It is the Flexible Consumption Model (FC) variant, with port density, speed and optics selected per slot. It suits service provider and large enterprise aggregation and core deployments that need scalable 100G expansion on ASR 9000 400G and 200G modular line cards.

- Supports LAN/WAN/OTN mode with two CFP2 coherent transceiver cages at 100 Gbps
- MACsec Layer 2 encryption support (IEEE 802.1AE) on 400G and 200G modular line cards, subject to minimum IOS XR software
- IEEE 802.3 compliant, with PHY monitoring and IEEE 802.x flow control
