FAQs

Q: Which ASR 9000 chassis does this power module fit?
A: It is listed as compatible with the ASR 9006, ASR 9010 and ASR 9904 chassis.

Q: Can I mix AC and DC power modules in the same chassis?
A: No. Mixing AC and DC power modules in a single chassis is not supported, so a DC module should only be paired with other DC modules.

Q: Is this module hot-swappable?
A: Yes. It can be installed or replaced in the chassis power tray while the system remains powered, subject to the redundancy configuration in use.

Q: Should I mix different power module versions in one system?
A: Cisco guidance recommends using the same power module version throughout a system. This is the Version 1 module, so pair it with other Version 1 modules.

Q: What DC input does it require?
A: It uses a nominal -48 VDC input, with an operating range of -40 to -72 VDC.
