Description

The ASR 9900 RP3-X is a route processor for ASR 9912 and ASR 9922 chassis, with an 8-core 2.7 GHz processor and 24GB ECC-protected DRAM. This Packet Transport (TR) Premium variant controls up to seven ASR 9900 switch fabric cards and supports 100G and 400G line cards, with backward compatibility to third and fourth generation ASR 9000 line cards. Dedicated BITS, GPS and IEEE 1588 PTP timing interfaces suit carrier aggregation and 5G transport networks running Cisco IOS XR.
