Description

The ASR 900 Series 4-port C37.94 optical interface module provides four IEEE C37.94 compliant Nx64 kbps optical interfaces for Connected Energy and Smart Grid deployments. It carries C37.94 tele-protection relay connections transparently over IP/MPLS using CESoPSN, allowing utilities to migrate communication networks from TDM to IP/MPLS. It installs in supported ASR 902, ASR 903 and ASR 900U chassis and uses 2.5mm ST connectors on 850nm multimode fibre.
