Description

This 2-port 40 Gigabit Ethernet interface module adds QSFP+ connectivity to Cisco ASR 900 Series aggregation routers built on RSP3 route switch processors. It provides 40GE aggregation and uplink capacity with pluggable QSFP+ optics and supports online insertion and removal. It is suited to ASR 902, ASR 903 and ASR 907 chassis where high-speed uplinks are required.

Q: Which slots can the module be installed in?
A: On the ASR 902 with RSP3C-200-S it uses slot 0. On the ASR 903 it uses slot 4 or 5 with RSP3C-400-S, or slot 4 with RSP3C-200-S. On the ASR 907 it can be installed in slots 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12.
