Description

High-density core/router platform delivering 64 native 800G ports in QSFP-DD800, enabling up to 51.2 Tbps of system capacity. The system is engineered for large-scale IP/MPLS, EVPN, and segment routing deployments with deep QoS and traffic engineering. QSFP-DD800 ports support common breakouts (2x400G, 4x200G, 8x100G) for flexible topology design. The platform is built for model-driven operations with streaming telemetry and modern APIs, and is designed with front-to-back airflow and modular, redundant fans and power supplies to fit data center and telco environments.

FAQs

Q: What breakout options are supported on the 800G QSFP-DD800 ports?
A: Typical breakouts include 2x400G, 4x200G, and 8x100G, subject to the transceiver/cable used and software support.

Q: Is this platform suitable for SD-WAN roles?
A: No. It is a high-density core/peering/data-center router and does not target SD-WAN edge use cases.

Q: Does the system support segment routing and EVPN?
A: Yes. It supports SR-MPLS/SRv6 and EVPN for scalable transport and L2/L3 services.

Q: Are the power supplies and fans field-replaceable?
A: Yes. Fans and power supplies are modular and hot-swappable for high availability.

Q: Which optics do I need for 800G short-reach vs longer-reach links?
A: Select 800G pluggables appropriate to the desired reach (e.g., short-reach multimode vs single-mode standards). Consult the supported transceiver matrix for specific part numbers and distances.
