FAQs

Q: How many devices can I power with the 370W PoE budget?
A: It depends on per-port draw. As a guide, up to around twelve 30W devices or more lower-power 802.3af devices can be powered within the 370W budget.

Q: Does it support non-PoE clients?
A: Yes. Ports auto-negotiate and deliver PoE only when required by the connected device.

Q: What optics are compatible with the SFP+ uplinks?
A: 10GbE SFP+ transceivers and DAC/AOC cables that meet the switch’s SFP+ specifications. Transceivers are sold separately.

Q: Is a license required to use Layer 3 features?
A: Core L3 features run with the included Aruba OS-CX software. Aruba Central for cloud management is optional.

Q: Can I stack multiple units?
A: Yes. VSF virtual stacking is supported over uplink ports for simplified management.
