Description

This 10GBASE-ER BiDi SFP+ optical transceiver delivers 10G connectivity over a single strand of single-mode fibre with a reach of up to 30 km. It transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm through an LC simplex connector, making it suited to long-distance links where fibre is limited. This Tx1330/Rx1270 nm variant must be paired with the opposite-wavelength BiDi module at the far end of the link.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What is the reach of this transceiver?
A: It supports links of up to 30 km over single-mode fibre.

Q: Does it need a matching module at the other end?
A: Yes. This module transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm, so the far end needs the opposite-wavelength BiDi module, transmitting at 1270 nm and receiving at 1330 nm.

Q: How many fibre strands does it use?
A: It uses a single strand of single-mode fibre, as transmit and receive share the same fibre on different wavelengths.

Q: What connector and port type does it use?
A: It has an LC simplex connector and fits SFP+ ports that support 10GBASE-ER BiDi optics.
