FAQs

Q: What fibre type does this transceiver use?
A: It is designed for single-mode fibre (SMF) with an LC simplex connector, so only one fibre strand is needed per link.

Q: What is the maximum reach?
A: It supports links of up to 40km over single-mode fibre.

Q: Does it need a matching transceiver at the other end?
A: Yes. BiDi optics work in complementary pairs. This unit transmits at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm, so the far end must transmit at 1330 nm and receive at 1270 nm.

Q: What port type is required?
A: It fits a standard 10G SFP+ port on a compatible switch or router.
