Description

This 100GBASE-XCWDM4 QSFP28 transceiver delivers 100G Ethernet over duplex single-mode fibre with an LC connector, using four 25G CWDM lanes in the 1271-1331 nm range. It supports link lengths up to 10 km, extending beyond the 2 km reach of the standard QSFP-100G-CWDM4 optic, while remaining interoperable with 100GBASE-CWDM4 optics at up to 2 km. Dual rate 100G/40G operation makes it suited to data centre interconnects, campus backbones and metro aggregation links.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What is the maximum reach of this transceiver?
A: It supports links up to 10 km over duplex single-mode fibre (G.652) using an LC duplex connector.

Q: How does it differ from the QSFP-100G-CWDM4?
A: The XCWDM4 extends the reach to 10 km, whereas the standard QSFP-100G-CWDM4 is specified for 2 km. Both use four 25G CWDM lanes in the 1271-1331 nm range.

Q: Can it link to a 100GBASE-CWDM4 optic at the other end?
A: Yes. It interoperates with 100GBASE-CWDM4 optics, with the link limited to 2 km when paired with a CWDM4 module.

Q: Does it support 40G operation?
A: Yes. It is a dual rate 100G/40G module, subject to host port and software support.

Q: What fibre type and connector does it use?
A: It uses duplex single-mode fibre with an LC duplex connector.
