Description

This 100GBASE-LR4 QSFP28 optical transceiver delivers 100G connectivity over single-mode fibre at distances up to 10 km. It uses four LAN-WDM wavelengths in the 1295-1310 nm band and connects through a duplex LC interface, in line with IEEE 802.3ba. It suits data centre interconnects, campus backbones and metro links where long-reach 100G optics are required.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What fibre type does this transceiver use?
A: It is designed for single-mode fibre (SMF) and connects through a duplex LC interface.

Q: What is the maximum reach?
A: It supports links of up to 10 km over single-mode fibre.

Q: What standard does it follow?
A: It follows IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4, using LAN-WDM wavelengths in the 1295-1310 nm band.

Q: Which ports is it compatible with?
A: It fits QSFP28 ports that support 100GBASE-LR4 optics. Confirm port support on the host device before ordering.

Q: Can it be used for short in-rack connections?
A: It is built for long-reach single-mode links, so shorter in-rack or adjacent-rack runs are normally better served by DAC or multimode optics.
