FAQs

Q: Which switches is the PWR-747AC-RED compatible with?
A: It is a spare power supply for the Arista 7280R Series, including models such as the 7280QR-C36/C72, 7280SR-48C6, 7280SR2K-48C6 and 7280TR-48C6.

Q: What airflow direction does this power supply use?
A: It uses front-to-rear airflow (F2R), identified by the red handle. The PWR-747AC-BLUE is the rear-to-front equivalent.

Q: Can it be replaced while the switch is running?
A: Yes. The module is hot-swappable and designed for 1+1 redundant operation, so a unit can be replaced without powering down the switch when a second supply is installed.

Q: What input power does it require?
A: It accepts 100-240V AC at 50/60 Hz through an IEC 60320 C13 inlet.

Q: Should I mix airflow directions in the same switch?
A: No. All power supplies and fans in a chassis should use the same airflow direction, so choose the front-to-rear red unit to match a front-to-rear configuration.
