Description

The Arista 7050TX-64 is a 1RU data centre leaf switch from the 7050X series, built for top-of-rack deployments with 10GBASE-T servers. It provides 48 auto-negotiating 100M/1G/10GBASE-T RJ45 ports and four 40GbE QSFP+ uplinks for leaf-spine designs using L3 ECMP or L2 MLAG, and runs Arista EOS.

This DCS-7050TX-64-D# variant includes the built-in 120 GB SSD and is a bare chassis, so fans and power supplies must be ordered separately. The switch delivers 1.28 Tbps throughput and a 960 Mpps forwarding rate, with 3 microsecond latency from the RJ45 ports to the uplinks and a 12 MB dynamic packet buffer. The quad-core x86 CPU is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 4 GB of flash. There is no PoE. Typical and maximum power draw is 315 W and 387 W.

The chassis takes two hot-swap PWR-500AC or PWR-500-DC power supplies in 1+1 redundancy and four N+1 FAN-7000 fan modules with reversible airflow. The QSFP+ ports accept 40GBASE-SR4, XSR4, LR4, ER4, LRL4, PLR4, PLRL4, UNIV and SRBD optics, 40GBASE-AOC cables, 40GBASE-CR4 DAC cables and QSFP+ to 4xSFP+ breakout cables.
